The beautiful unspoilt Island of Tobago is surrounded by deserted sandy beaches all within an hours drive of Villa Easytimes. In the north part of the Island there is mostly tropical rainforest with many different birds, butterflies and exotic flowers. Close to the shore there are colourful coral reefs ideal for snorkelling and diving. Tobago has an interesting history dating back to the Kariwak Indians then ruled mostly by the British and French, hence the names of the towns and villages. The pace of life is very layed-back and the people are the friendliest you could meet in the Caribbean. As a tourist you will be made most welcome all around the Island and it is safe to walk around day and night. To get around locals mostly use `route`taxis as they are very cheap (25p for up to about 4 miles), they will take you from outside the door at Villa Easytimes to the best beaches and the main town of Scarborough. The weather is nice all year round with temperatures around 30c cooled by the gentle Caribbean breeze. Rain seems to fall in intermittent showers with sun and blue sky in between. The driest months are December to May.
